About Masjid At-Tauwheed
& The Norfolk And Suffolk Islamic Mission
The Masjid was established over 10 years ago, being the first Masjid built in the Great Yarmouth and surrounding areas.
This was made possible by the first settling muslim families in the area, the founders of this magnificent masjid and community were Dr Shams (may Allah Swt be pleased with Him) and Dr Naeem (may Allah Swt reward them in this world and in the hereafter).
The Norfolk and Suffolk Islamic Mission has been our registered charity name, created to go alongside the Masjid. It consists of several members of the community forming an interim committee.
Great Yarmouth is located in East Norfolk with over 40 Muslim families from different ethnicities. Currently, Islamic activities (including prayers, social and educational gatherings) are held at different sites. Our need for a larger mosque is becoming increasingly apparent because of the growing Muslim population in the area.
The Masjid provides a range of services with programs to engage the community with the environment of the Masjid.
The Masjid is a pivotal hub where we offer our salah, meet and greet and are in touch with brothers and sisters. The Masjid is the central point of the life of a Muslim. And those who help by donating financial or with time are ones who shall be rewardly substantially.
Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and do not follow not up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury― for them their reward is with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Al-Qur’an 2:262)
